Made in Germany

October 31, 2011

“Made in Germany” doesn’t just indicate the products origin, it signifies technological superiority, good design and above all long lasting durability. In a consumer age were throw away culture has become the norm, a “German car”, “German appliance” refer to much more than a geographic origin, but a choice to buy understated, robust quality.

There are many well known German manufacturers, but the following interested me – videos which reiterate a very German obsession for quality, durability, perfection. And what better way to prove the superiority of a product than show its complex, articulate production processes?

Leica Lenses: 100 Individual Pieces in 1 Lense

Gardena Garden Tools: 3 Years of Australian Sunshine

Miele: Crash Testing Appliances
